No pacifier this time!

With my first baby, I waited 6 weeks to give him a pacifier because he was exclusively breastfed and I didn’t want him to have any nipple confusion.

Since having my first I learned more and decided to not give my 2nd baby a pacifier. Here’s why-

1. It can affect your milk supply by pacifying early hunger cues.

2. It teaches them from an early age that you want to silence their emotions.

3. It can diminish early communication.

4. I don’t want to give my baby something for comfort that I know I’ll have to take away someday.

I know some people won’t agree with this but it’s what feels right to us and I’m glad that I went this route with my 2nd baby!
