I have a previous post where I share how to find out how much you need to eat during pregnancy! In that post I shared that, with my individual needs, I need to be aiming to eat 3,000 calories and 150 grams of protein. This post will be sharing how I do that and a sample day of what I eat while pregnant in the first trimester.
I start out my mornings, always, will 8 oz of raw milk and 8 oz of organic orange juice. I sip on that will I’m cooking my eggs. Lately I’ve increased my eggs to either 4 or 5 eggs scrambled. Eggs are so high in nutrients and such a powerhouse while pregnant! I highly recommend eating at least 3 a day.
I have my morning coffee after I’ve finished breakfast. I put in organic half and half and organic maple syrup.
Then once I put my son down for his morning nap I have a snack. Lately it’s been organic Greek yogurt with maple syrup.
For lunch I, almost always, have a grass fed beef burger with raw cheese and 2 slices of sourdough with grass fed butter.
I have another snack once my son takes his 2nd nap. This is usually a string cheese or turkey roll. Today was a string cheese!
Dinner is the same thing as lunch typically.
And a bedtime snack of turkey!
This totals 150 grams of protein and 3,140 calories!
