Romanticize Writing as a Freelancer 💝

Soo not every writing session is going to come passionate and easy. But that doesn’t mean it should be dreary and exhausting, especially when it becomes a daily practice.

Here’s how to ✨romanticize✨writing:

1️⃣ Set the Mood

I love to light a candle or prepare my fav beverage (iced caramel coffee ☕️ ) before I sit down to work. This helps not only clear my space to get ready to write, but my mind too!

2️⃣ Find a Quiet Time

As a SAHM, quiet time is rare but it’s so so needed. I try to wait until I can get the kids down for a nap before beginning. Otherwise my mind is a jumbled mess!

3️⃣ Don’t Stress Yourself Out with Deadlines

Stop staring at your to-do list ✋ it’s only going to get you worked up! How can anything be enjoyable with a looming deadline? Just let the words come to without trying to force it.

4️⃣ Take That Break!!

I remember in school, I would wait to eat or take a bathroom break until I finished my work. I was hard on myself, and subconsciously set a negative mindset around it. With writing, I know I can put a pin in it and allow myself nourishment and a much needed break when I feel I need it!
