hi lemons 🍋

Chengdu Bowl Marina One 成都碗 was something i tried recently and ive recreated it TWICE ever since!! we love us a balance meal with our carbs protein and fats while still being delicious and this meal makes healthy eating so enjoyable because theres just so many textures and unique flavours together💗

sweet potato 🍠

using this as a base was something i wouldve never tried! sweet potato is a complex carbs so it takes a longer time to digest, keeping you full for longer! i love that it adds some sweetness to the overall meal because we love a salty sweet combo here ✨

✔️ my tip when making this: with the water you boiled the sweet potato in, add it to the mashed sweet potato so that your base is smoother and not dry to eat! also adds some sweetness because boiling the sweet potato extracts some sweetness out of the 🍠 into the water 😉

edamame 🫛

i LOVE edamame! its a frozen food i alw have in my freezer! not only does it contain fiber, it is also contains protein 😜 i love having it as a salty snack too!

✔️ my tip when making this: this is so easy to prep! i usually js soak it in hot water for 3-5min! no cooking required 😗

mushroom 🍄‍🟫

decided to add mushroom since i was clearing out my fridge and NO REGRETS! it just adds extra umami into the meal! i love mushrooms 💗✨

✔️ my tip when making this: my method for browning mushroom is first frying it until it’s dehydrated THEN add butter to rehydrate it

protein 💪

i added salmon and chicken breast! i js had chicken breast lying arnd so i js boiled it and added it inside! i love salmon because its packed with omega 3 and contains healthy fats! try not to overcook your salmon unless it becomes dry, hard & unenjoyable to eat 😫

✔️ my tip when making this:

1.) if youre afraid of messing up when cooking your protein, u can js buy the 7-11 chicken breast because its simple and convenient, and its also really yummy

2.) here’s how i cook my salmon such that its TENDER all the time! dry your salmon (esp skin) and season the skin with salt! salting the salmon skin makes it crispier! skin side down, i will press the salmon down on the frying pan so that the skin is evenly crisped! i then leave the salmon untouched until i find that the salmon is no longer sticking onto my surface then i flip it over! cook on the other side until you think its 95% done then off the flame. leave it on the pan to rest for 5-7 min to let the residual heat to cook the salmon through!
