You’re missing out … Jeju food in SG ☀️

How did i not know about its existence earlier??

Im a HUGGEEE fan of jeju abalone porridge but i found it hard to find in singapore!! (i’ve had one at Ureshi but the price is a big pull-back for my return trip 🥹) so i was really happy when i saw it in their menu

ok first, hear me out. this place exceeded my expectations.

🫶🏻 FIRST OF ALL. THE BANCHAN. THE BANCHAN IS CHEFS KISS. my jaw dropped when they brought it to our table. 9 quality-made banchan for no extra charge? A 100% YES, + FREE REFILL.

zesties pls, the shredded candied sweet potato’s were to die for.. it was so crunchy, crispy and had the right amount of sweetness- we HAD to get a 2nd serving

SECOND. THE FOOD.

1️⃣ I am absolutely mind blown by “moum-guk” ($18 lunch price) it’s my first time hearing & trying it but this jeju style seaweed pork soup was 🤯🤯 it was so savoury yet fragrant/unami yet not cloying. it came with rice so it was a perfect match.

and you thought the 4 slices of jeju pork was it? there were cubes and cubes of pork belly in it (i shared with my partner and it was still a lot)

2️⃣ Jeju Abalone porridge in my opinion was not like the usual one that’s suppose to look green, but it was a decent bowl of comfort food + heaps of abalone slices and little shrimps.

a lil ex for $30 but i felt justifiable for the amount of ingredients given

THIRD. free barley tea, so i didnt have to spend on drinks yet it cleanses my palate the way i like it.

FOURTH. the service, staff were attentive and kind. call me lucky or not, the owner offered the front few tables a can of korean pear juice to apologise for the aircon breakdown (which actl did not affect us that much). they treat their business and customers right so that’s a big plus!!

💰Total damage: $48 not including GST/SC

but tbh i felt like i had a good full meal with appetisers to desserts
