Happy Hoodoo Heritage Month

Hoodoo is a practice all on its own. While it can lead you to other practices, it is not a stepping stone for others.

Do not feel pressured into getting initiated into an ATR because of what other practitioners have put out there. A lot of practices have been blended together and with that comes misinformation.

If Hoodoo is all you want to practice, then you can do that. You can also be what’s known as a free flowing spiritualist and practice multiple things but keep in mind that each practice has its own set of rules if you will.

With anything new, it will take time. Something’s will not work how you want but do not give up. And do not practice anything based off just its magickal aspects. Learn the culture and the concepts and the reasons behind why the group of people practice the way they do.

Your Hoodoo is enough and remember, you are the altar.
