Did you know that cooking is also considered ancestor veneration?!

Yesterday I spoke on traditions, so in honor of your ancestors, make a family dish. We eat the way that we do because of what was available to those who came before us and it’s been passed down from generation to generation.

For example, mine is my grandmother’s banana pudding, which my mom made for me as a kid and now I make it for my family and everything is done by scratch. None of that nasty instant pudding lol. But when I make it, it gives me this overwhelming feeling that family is around even when I’m in the kitchen all by myself.

And I don’t measure, I let the ancestors tell me when it’s enough.

Your recipe may not be exactly how your grandmother made it, especially with everyone changing their eating habits and that’s ok. It’s the intention that matters………paying homage to the ones that came before us with a universal love language, food!
