☀️ Japanese Drugstore Sunscreen Finds!

Welcia-BHG is a Japanese drugstore focused on Health and Beauty needs, with a strong focus on Japanese brands, some of which are exclusive to their store! They have been opening up more outlets in the past year and I was pleasantly surprised by their sunscreen range. With the easing of measures, product testers are also back in stores (whee ü) so I got to test out a few interesting/popular sunscreens and these were my 1st impressions:

1. Sekkisei UV Defense Milk (SGD$25.60)

⁃ lightweight milky lotion texture

- water-resistant

- doubles as a makeup base!!!

- satin-matte finish

- dupe for the Anessa skincare milk?😯

2. Canmake Mermaid Skin Gel UV (SGD$14.18)

⁃ Thickest gel texture out of all the sunscreens I’ve tried in store!

- Emollient enough to double as a moisturiser & sunscreen

- dewy finish

3. Biore UV Watery Essence (SGD$18.90)

- Watery gel texture

- Leaves a refreshing, water-bursting after application

- Natural, dewy finish

4. Biore UV Aqua Protection Lotion (SGD$21.90)

- Lightweight, watery texture

- Contains Aqua Nano Capsules to form an even UV film

- Refreshing, water-bursting after application

- Natural finish

5. Anessa Perfect UV Sunscreen Skincare Milk (SGD$41.90)

- Thin, milky texture that dries down to leave a velvet-matte finish

- Very sweat & water-resistant

- “Aqua Booster Ex Technology”, “Thermo Booster Technology”

- Excellent SPF protection capabilities (tried & tested on beach days!)

- Stings the eyes a little 😖 (avoid your eye area when using this!)
