best supper spot in serangoon?? 😱😱

We came here solely to try the RK Special, but ended up ordering other things too!

🥞 Plain Prata (~$2 for 2 pratas): 8/10

This prata is really the best of both worlds 😍 The outside is crispy and fresh while the inside was chewy and fragrant. Paired with the fish curry 😱 Complete sensory delight.

🍝 Maggi Goreng Ayam (~$8): 8/10

Absolutely my favourite of the bunch. The noodles were packed with umami, paired with the sweetness of their kicap. OMG this was amazing. I usually opt for no veggies in it just so I can better enjoy the texture of the noodles!

The pieces of fried chicken were generous as well! It tasted more like western fried chicken compared to those tradition ayam goreng you get at regular mamak stores! But eaten together with the maggi goreng was fantastic!

🥘RK Special (~$8): 6/10

The RK special comes with chopped up prata, drowned in mutton curry and sambal, with pieces of mutton topped with a onsen egg. All in all it was a very interesting combo!

The first few bite were great! Having the still-crispy prata paired with the mutton curry and meat with the sweetness of the sambal balancing the flavours! However, the more I ate, the more jelak I felt. It got a bit boring after awhile but I would definitely recommend a try!

🥤Ice Milo ($~2): 6/10

I’m not super picky about milo per se, but the milo was rather ordinary. In fact I felt it was a bit more diluted than what I would usually get at mamak stores.

Verdict: Would I come back?

Perhaps. If I were in the area, probably yes. Would I make my way out to come back? probably no. But I would definitely recommend you to come and try at least once! Let me know you agree with my ratings or if you have violent objections!
