The holiday season is here, and many of us are traveling abroad. A popular activity I've noticed, especially among influencers in Korea, is color analysis. Intrigued by this trend, I discovered a color analysis service in Singapore through Xiaohongshu and decided to give it a try. It was a great deal at $99, including several freebies, compared to other services priced around $200. And the best part? I didn't have to endure the cold or use up my non-existent annual leave to fly to Korea! 🇰🇷✈️

🏠 The studio, primarily a Makeup & AI Photo Studio, also offers personal color analysis as part of their premium membership. It's similar to the Korean color analysis process, where they drape different fabrics over you under various lighting to determine which colors suit you best.

🚨 A word of advice: go makeup-free. I arrived with concealer on, and they provided makeup remover to ensure a more accurate analysis.

I've always known I'm a warm tone, as evident from the foundations and concealers I use. The analysis also considered my face shape, skin tone, eye and lip color, and hair color.

The consultant wrapped me in a white cloth, then experimented with different colored cloths, each representing a mix of the seasons (summer, spring, autumn, winter), to see how my skin reacted under various lighting. They even tested various accessories to determine which jewelry and colors suited me. Surprisingly, I found out gold suits me better than silver, and small dangling earrings are more flattering on me than the studs I usually wear.

I received a report stating I'm a warm-autumn 🍂. It detailed suitable hair colors and clothing shades, both bright and dark. Additionally, the report suggested makeup types and shades that would complement me.

The session lasted an hour half, filled with engaging discussions about fashion and trying out different colored clothes. The staff were friendly, despite a minor miscommunication at the start. One downside is that most materials, including the report, are in Chinese, but they are easy to understand thanks to plenty of visuals.
