Descriptions going in order of the photos!

1. Cover photo- started the ceremony off with prayer. We also had the privilege of my husbands aunt and uncle doing our premarital counseling, and his uncle is who married us!

2. The reason we faced inward to the officiant is because this was a conversation between the 3 of us, and God, no one else. Everyone else was just there to witness, and we invited those closest to us to witness, knowing every single one of them will keep us accountable in our marriage and to God.

3. 1 Corinthians 13:4-8 down the aisle as not only a decoration but a reminder of what love should look like.

4. In this photo specifically, this was our first act as a married couple. We chose to honor our parents and the way we were raised up by having them come up and pray over us.

5. & 6. We wrote our own vows. Now I know this in and of itself is not necessarily having to do with Jesus, but it’s what we wrote in our vows. Instead of following the cookie cutter classic wedding vows (nothing wrong with that but we had more on our hearts to say), we wrote our own, talking about everything we learned in premarital counseling about dying to ourselves each day, as Jesus died to himself, to love one another. I also emphasized what I learned in church in highschool about the definition of love because it has left such a strong impact on my life.

“Love is an act of the will accompanied by emotion that acts on behalf of its object to further their spiritual growth.”

7. Just more prayer all throughout the day!

8. My definition of love💍❤️
