What I did for my bf’s birthday!

8 July just passed and it was my boyfriend’s 25th birthday so I did tons of extra thangs for him 🤭

🤍 Kumar Guilty Show at Marina Bay Sands Theatre

Price: $68 + $4 booking fee per pax

It was our first time watching a show at MBS and watching Kumar’s performance live! Kumar is his favourite artiste so I thought why not surprise him with tickets to his show 🥴 We went on the first night, 6th July, and there were A LOT of people and influencers 🤩 Overall, the show was pretty interesting and it got us intrigued and laughing the whole time 😁

🤍 Customised Quby Bento Cake

Price: $31 + $21 delivery fee

I was looking to get a small sized cake because every year we bought those huge cakes from conventional bakeries and ended up not finishing the cake... 🫣

I looked up bento cakes on Instagram and lemon8 and I settled for thebakerbok ☺️ I ordered 3 bento cakes because my mum and his mum’s birthday falls on 7 July and my boyfriend’s birthday falls on 8 July… For the Quby cake, it was $31 excluding delivery fee. The chocolate cake mixed with lotus biscoff flavour was SOOOOO DELICIOUS 😩 The delivery fee was pretty expensive ($21) because she is based in bedok and I am ordering from the west 🥲 but I ordered 3 cakes, so it didn’t feel so bad!

She is super considerate to accommodate my request to deliver between 3-6pm instead of the usual 6-9pm on weekdays too :)

I would recommend getting from her if you are in the east as she offers a self collection option!

🤍 JB Day Trip

My boyfriend did not go JB for a day trip before so I planned a JB day trip for his birthday! It was a saturday so we woke up at 5am and reached kranji at 630am 😭 thankfully, one of his friend’s dad was going JB that day as well so we had a ride through SG custom, MSIA custom, and Mt Austin! we reached Mt Austin around 930am, 3 hours after we left kranji station.

🤍 Gim Cheng Dim Sum Restaurant

Price: RM150

We ate at Gim Cheng Dim Sum Restaurant and we really ordered everything without seeing the price LOL ordered tons of dimsum and the bill amounted to RM150 for 4 pax which I thought was reasonable! 🤩

🤍 Stars Archery at Paradigm Mall

Price: RM18 per pax for 20 arrows

This was quite fun because it was my first time playing archery 😂 The staff there taught us how to use the bow and shoot the arrow so it’s pretty worth it!

🤍 Singcube Karaoke at Paradigm Mall

Price: RM40 per hour for Deluxe Room

My boyfriend loves singing K lol so we ended up singing K for 3 hours which amounted to RM120 for 4 pax for their Deluxe room with 4 mics! We were surprised there was 4 mics because usually K places only give 2 mics HAHAHA or maybe because I haven't been to K for so long 😂 The price is super affordable for a weekend K room, I don’t think you get this price in SG 🥴

🤍 Warakuya Japanese Garden

Price: (forgot the exact price) around RM100 per pax

My boyfriend’s friend strongly recommended this place and boy, IT DID NOT DISAPPOINT 💯 He also had the VIP card so we did not wait long to enter and had warm towels before dinner and fruits platter after dinner.

The food prices here are close to SG restaurant’s prices but the food portion are significant larger and the salmon piece is wayyy thicker than the usual salmon piece you get in SG.

We ordered A LOT like really A LOT.

- Salmon Belly Sashimi

- Yellow Tail Fish

- Scallop

- Hamachi Sashimi

- Cold soba with Tempura

- Okonomiyaki

- Soft shell crab with salted egg sauce

- Curry Udon

- Escargot

The food was really good and we were all super full after this meal LOL 😂

We wanted to check out Euro Fun Park which was supposedly near this restaurant in Sutera Mall but Google was a scam because Euro Fun Park was in Angsana Mall but Google wrote Sutera Mall… 😭 it was getting late so we just went back City Square Mall and called it a day. We cleared both customs within an hour which was not bad considering it was a weekend.
