How to FIGHT MOLD GROWTH 👊🏻

One of our #homeliving woes in our previous #bto was having mold in our bathrooms.

A quick google shows that the common cause for mold is lingering moisture caused by lack of ventilation. So for our second home, we made sure to do the following to prevent the growth of bathroom mold:

▪️Installing a ventilating fan

Having a ventilating fan reduces the humidity in the air and dries our wet bathroom in a shorter amount of time! Totally no regrets getting this 🙌🏻

▪️Using diatomite

We use fast-drying diatomite toothbrush holders on top of a diatomite tray, which help to prevent mold. Ours are from Nitori but they seem to be out of stock, so we might consider getting new ones from Bulbul if needed (seen many positive reviews!)

▪️Keeping grout dry

Mold can grow easily if the grout is often wet. We find that the simplest way to keep grout and surfaces dry is to wipe away water with a tissue immediately instead of leaving the water to dry on its own, especially near the sink area!
