Packing tips for your smoothest move yet Pt.2

1. Prepare an Essentials Bag

Pack a bag containing essentials that you will need for the first few days in your new home, such as important documents, medications, toiletries, chargers and a couple of changes of clothes. Having these accessible made it less stressful for us when everything else was in a sea of mess 🫣

2. Label your boxes for easy unpacking

A room full of identical boxes is a nightmare when it comes to unpacking and you don’t have a single clue about what is inside any of the boxes 🫠

Labelling ideas for quick identification:

📦 Colour-code your boxes using markers or tapes.

📦 Label each box with its destination and a number corresponding to your inventory (e.g. bedroom 1 / 2 / 3) so that you know how many boxes there are supposed to be, and where to find your items.

📦 Label each box on multiple sides to avoid the hassle of having to move the stacked boxes around just to read the top label.

3. Scissors or penknife

Don’t forget to pack a pair of scissors or a penknife to cut through the packing tape on your boxes!
