Renter Friendly Lighting Hack

💡The best hack for adding sconces to your home, when you don't want to (or can't) hardwire. This is a great renter friendly hack too!

1)Remove the backplate from your sconce, and either cut the wire to remove it completely, or keep it tucked into the sconce in case you chance your mind later!

2) Set the backplate against the wall, and mark where the screw holes are. This is where you will drill your holes into the wall. TIP: your drill bit should be slightly smaller than your screw. If you hold one in front of the other, you should be able to see the threads of the screw stick out behind the drill bit.

3) Gently tap drywall anchors into the holes you created, and screw the backplate into these holes.

4) Place your sconce over the backplate, making sure it's level, and the screw holes on the sconce line up with the holes on the backplate.

5) Use the sticker to attach the puck light, to the sconce base, and add your shade.

That's it! Now you have beautiful lighting, without any hardwiring.
