Homemaker Habits: Clean the Kitchen Every Night

Having productive, helpful habits is a key part of practicing intentional homemaking. 🏡

Cleaning the kitchen every night helps me get ready for the next day so I don't have a mess to clean up in the morning. Here are some of the steps I follow to keep up with my nightly kitchen cleanup routine as a sahm and homemaker!

1) Take care of putting away food, trash, & clutter

2) Start a load of dishes & handwash pots

3) Clean the baby chair

4) Wipe down counters, stove top, & table

5) Wipe out the kitchen sink

6) Replace the sink rag and kitchen hand towel

7) Sweep the floor

This can be a hard habit to start because we are often tired at the end of the day, but if you start the kitchen cleanup right after everyone is done with dinner, you can practice this habit and have your family work together as a team to get it done!
