Ambient Lighting In My Home

Hello again my loves! Hope life has been treating you well lately 🫶🏻

Have you ever heard that sound on insta and TikTok reels that goes “there is one rule in my house.. and that is we never ever NEVER USE THE BIG LIGHT”? Well… that is literally my number one rule as well haha!

I just think overhead lighting is never complimentary, it’s too bright and harsh and really ruins the vibe that we work so hard to create in our spaces! If anyone were to ask me what I recommend investing in when it comes to decor… I would aleyas answer ambient lighting, 100%!

And my number one tip in regards to ambient lighting? Have it lower to the ground. I know that sounds weird, but I’ve tried to place the majority of my lighting close to the ground and it really creates such a cozy environment!

Some great places to find ambient lighting are Etsy, Amazon, FBM, and of course, THRIFT STORES! You can find some really interesting vintage lighting when you go thrifting! I find people always skip the lamps but I’m telling you, if you look hard enough, you’ll find something super cool for your home ✌🏻
