No amount of self improvement can make up for any lack of self acceptance.

When I first started my healing journey, I became obsessed with self improvement.

I wanted to become the best version of myself and read every self help book I could find.

but soon that turned into an unhealthy obsession with “fixing” myself because I’d constantly chase the next thing I had to work on, never fully appreciating who I was right now.

When I learned how to radically accept myself, I was able to embrace the tender wounded parts of me that just wanted my love.

Improving myself didn’t come from a place of needing to fix myself, but from a place of genuine love and honor for myself.

You are not a constant self improvement project. You are a human being.

Give yourself grace and compassion. 💚

When you radically accept yourself, you’re able to show up for your goals with more compassion and empowerment.

Instead of thinking that you’ll be happy once you lose the weight, you show up to the gym because you love and honor your body.
