BananaBro Berjaya Times Square (HALAL Certified)

This was my first time trying Indian banana leaf rice, and I had it with my colleagues.

For those who don't know, Banana Bro is an Indian banana leaf rice chain owned by the owner of Boat Noodles. You can usually spot Banana Bro in various shopping malls.

It was a positive experience for me because I don't enjoy spicy food 🌶️, but so far, I could eat all the food that came with the set 😍. I have a very low spice tolerance, and my best tolerance is probably for 🥹dhal curry. I can barely tolerate spicy KFC 🌶️🍗 (yes, that's pretty lame).

They offer 4 types of gravies: chicken, fish, dhal, and another one I couldn't hear properly when they introduced it, but it looked something like rasam 🤷‍♀️.

We ordered the Family Combo - 4 pax (Rm99.90), and whatever comes with the basic set (rice, veggies, etc.) is available for 🤩free refills. However, the extra dishes like meat are not.

I didn't try their signature foamy drink, The Tarik Lawa, but my colleague told me it's 🥴potong kaki sweet.

As for authenticity, my 👩🏾‍🦱Indian colleague told me that it's not exactly authentic. While most of the menu consists of fried food, taste-wise it's quite close to the real deal. Personally, I think it's 😋tasty.
