HOW DO I CONVINCE MY MOM TO LET ME WEAR SHORTS?!?!

I've been wearing JEANS all summer, and at this point, I'm kinda used to it.. but recently I got sick at school and me wearing a thick sweatshirt and jeans did not help.. honestly, it felt like a mini heat stroke!

and I don't wanna wear short shorts either, like I'm not trying to flash anybody or anything, just some shorts that come up thill my upper thigh and something that covers all my booty. neither am I comfortable wearing short shorts, but I really want to. like I WALK to school. the worst part? I live in FLORIDA!! like the sun is so intense I be sweating and my first period is orchestra and that room is so hot!! especially on Mondays! I can NOT deal with this anymore, like the time when I got sick. I had to miss 2 days of school, and I did really badly on my test because of it.. and it resulted in them taking my phone away.😫 girls with strict parents help me out here!!!!
