Facebook Marketplace flip

check out this fbmp flip i did! i found this cute piece for $25. my favorite part are the little square drawers with wood knobs. i wanted a lighter natural looking finish so i sanded off all the very orange stain using an orbital sander and hand sander. it came off fairly easy. i used 80, 120, and 22 grit sand paper. for the smaller, hard to reach spots, i used a hand sander/sand paper sheet.

i was able to sand, clean, and stain it all in one afternoon. i used my all time favorite stain- flagstone by rust oleum.

i applied one coat and realized it was still a bit too orange for me. i ended up sanding it back down a bit and adding another layer. once it was stained and dried, i used a poly spray paint to seal it. the spray- rust oleum 2x ultra cover in matte clear- has no odor and dries super fast! perfect for furniture coming right inside.
