Food to Eat in Nara, Japan 🇯🇵🍡

This is for all those who are heading to Nara in Spring!

For me, I visited Nara just for the excitement of feeding the deers at Nara Park. What I also realized was that there are so many good food pitstops to explore while you make a long but lovely stroll towards the park from Nara Station.

After a 45mins train ride from Kyoto Station, we arrived and were super hungry. We were craving some curry rice, so we headed to Coco Ichibanya for a cheap and hearty meal. It was so affordable at about $10SGD, and definitely lifted our souls. I know Singapore has it, but the one here was so worth it and really made me happy.

We then headed to Nakatanidou, a foodie pitstop for all things local confectionary and snacks. We got their famous mochi and another sugary biscuit which is amazing after a warm meal. Sometimes they would have public mochi making shows too, so do check out what time those shows are.

Definitely many places to explore food wise so don’t think Nara is just about visiting the deers like me!
