Dongdaemun Design Plaza in Seoul 🇰🇷

Hello guys! Happy New Year, and I’m back with more content from the HEYMARKEH catalogue. I still have loads of travel stuff left to sort out, but after seeing many of my friends travel to Korea for their #winterschool , I thought it’s time to work on my shoots from my first trip to Korea. And first up, let’s start with some architectural stuff - at the Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP).

📝 What I did:

We visited the Dongdaemun Design Plaza specifically for the Tim Burton exhibition, but man there are loads of insane art exhibitions in Korea. There are loads of design shops, and little pop up exhibits across the 3-4 levels of the building, as well amazing architectural elements to look out for when walking around the building itself.

📷 Photography tip:

Don’t forget to use a wider lens to capture the curves of the buildings, and you don’t need a camera for this! Just hit the 0.5x camera setting on your iPhone and take in the entirety of the architecture.

The building itself is pretty monochromatic, so do wait for colourfully-dressed humans to help make your pictures pop!
