Why I Stopped Wearing Makeup

Well, partially. Story time! ✨

A few months ago I threw out 88% of my makeup & I don't plan on restocking it! 😲🤯

If you know me, then you know your girl loovveeeeeess a good makeup “lewk”! I mean, I literally get little kid going to Chuck E. Cheese excited when I go into an Ulta or Sephora store. However, I think getting older has me reconnecting in a sense.

I was admiring my daughter and thought “wow she's so beautiful and natural. I want to look like that.” And it hit me, I can! Now to be clear this mama has some blemishes, hyperpigmentation, redness, bags for days, and dare I say - wrinkles BUT its admirable to me!

I used to be into DIY beauty heavily in my early 20s and plan to get back to parts of that lifestyle with a focus on skin care and natural beauty. Not going to lie, the 12% of my remaining make up will be worn from time to time but it won't be my crutch.

My lip gloss will still be popping, eyebrows will be semi-fleeky, and lashes will have some curl & volume to them, but It won't have me in a choke hold to where I feel like I have to wear it to film, go out, be “presentable” etc etc.
