Dancing with LIA KIM✨🇰🇷

I just had the MOST incredible experience at 1MILLION Dance Studio in Korea with the legend and icon- LIA KIM! 🥹🥹🥹🥹

Here’s the inside scoop if you’re thinking about booking a class too:

1️⃣ Book Your Spot: Heads up—slots only open a week before classes, so be sure to prep your account ahead of time! Each class costs ~$33 SGD, converted from USD.

2️⃣ Class Types: There are 4 main types of classes. I attended Lia Kim’s 뚝딱이클래스, which is like Basic/Level 1 at Converge Studio. I also tried a Learner Class, which is around Level 1/2.

3️⃣ Reserve Your Spot: Here’s a pro tip I wish I’d known sooner—bring a bottle to “chope” your spot outside the room! This sets your entry order. For popular instructors like Lia Kim, aim to arrive about 45-50 minutes early if you want that coveted front-row seat. I thought arriving 30 minutes early would be enough, but I ended up 6 rows back.😅

4️⃣ Language: Classes are mostly in Korean, with a few English phrases. They run for 1 hour and 20 minutes. Luckily, I’ve watched enough K-drama to understand simple Korean phrases, so it was easier for me to follow along! Just a heads up!!!🙂‍↕️

5️⃣ Picture Time: Be prepared for a bit of a wait if you want photos with famous instructors! I queued for about an hour for two pics with Lia Kim, but tbh, it was totally worth it!🫶🏼

Oh, and here’s a fun surprise: some classes are recorded for their YouTube channel, so you might even see yourself dancing online!!!
