DIY Bathroom Update

I wanted to add some detail and color into our all white water closet and decided that beadboard and wallpaper was the way to go.

We installed the beadboard first, which was close to an all day project. I purchased the sheets from Lowe’s and had them cut them down to 5ft pieces. We used both glue and finishing nails to attach the beadboard to the wall, and topped it off with a 5” piece of trim. I painted it Sherwin Williams Amazing Gray.

The wallpaper is from Livette’s Wallpaper. They have pre-selected color options, or you can customize them, which is what I opted for. I selected the botanical pattern, and used linen as the background color, and taupe for the botanical pieces. It’s a traditional wallpaper that requires paste. This was my second wallpapering project, so I felt comfortable using traditional paper.

Lastly, I added some brass hooks from Target onto the trim piece so we can hang bath towels from it.
