Best hikes in Sedona

Some of the best popular hikes in Sedona that I’ve done.

1. Devils Bridge: Very nice hike to a stone bridge. The hike to the bridge isn’t so bad, it’s mostly flat until the very end. At the end you will have to climb up for awhile.

📒Notes: I do not recommend this hike in winter unless you’re experienced due to the ice on the trail.

2. Cathedral Rock: The hardest hike I’ve done in Sedona! It’s not a very long hike (2 miles) but it’s all climbing and walking upwards. The view is definitely worth it though and the top is a nice spot to have a small lunch.

📒Notes: Wear good shoes! I did this hike in Vans 🫣

Since it’s all uphill it may take longer to get up, but the walk back down is a breeze.

3. The Crack: This hike is LONG and there’s absolutely no shade on the trail. Bring lots of water and sunscreen! I think you should be a decently experienced hiker to do this one. The swimming hole is so worth it though! And there’s some cliffs to jump off.

📒Notes: Go early in the morning to be one of the first people there. It does get crowded but overall it’s still a nice spot!

4. West Fork Trail: This hike is also long! But there’s lots of shade and water. You WILL get wet so plan accordingly. This hike is mostly flat and a very nice temperature with all the shade.

📒Notes: This is a very long hike but you don’t have to do the full thing. You can turn back at any point. There’s a parking fee of $20.

5. Soldier’s Pass: This is a nice and short hike to a cave. The cave is a bit hard to climb into but has a nice view once you’re inside. There’s also a few sights to see on the way to the cave

📒Notes: Parking can be limited but used the Sedona shuttle service, or park at the park nearby and walk a little extra.
