Sunday Reflection: Diary entry No.1

🕯️Transparency report: I should have been like the other ‘influencers’ and had my post prepared and ready for publish, but that wouldn’t make this an authentic diary entry… so here were are!

📓 Diary entry No.1 “It’s all a haze”

As I sit in my office, frantically scrolling through my photo library to find a half decent photo to share for my entry, I came across this photo of myself. And a flood of emotions came rolling in like a 10 foot wave! As I drifted back to this extraordinary moment in my life, I had just accomplished one of my life long dreams of publishing my first book! The level of bliss was incomprehensible! I was a published author! how insane is that!

Even I couldn’t fully comprehend what was happening… and most ironic part of this season in my life, just as I thought things were taking off for me! My dream of becoming a New York Times best seller slowly collapsed beneath my feet like like quicksand.

🎤 I’d like to notate an honorable mention: I self published with 0 dollars, no marketing team, and my editor didn’t do the best job! But in the land of delulu, I was going to be a New York Times best seller! 😩

As I mentioned before, I thought my life was headed down easy street… only for me to publish my book march, 18th, 2020 this milestone was meant to be the best birthday gift ever! That morning my book released to Amazon, and just a measly 2 hours later I found out I was losing my career as a flight attendant, and the pandemic had just hit America like a ton of bricks… the entire world literally shut down on me! THIS was supposed to be one of the happiest days of my life, but it ended up being one of the worst… “bitter-sweet” if you like your glass half full. 🙄

Strangely enough this day changed my life forever…

This is where my journey to “soft life” began, & even as I reflect on it now it is still such a haze.
