3 apps you NEED on your Japan trip (part 2) ✈️📱

📍GuruNavi

This is a great app for finding good restaurants in Japan. Google Maps is not always ideal for reading reviews and checking menus in Japan because not all Japanese use it or leave reviews on it.

📍Maps.me

I always use Maps.me for downloading offline maps for when I don’t have access to the internet or the connection is bad. It’s especially great if you plan to go hiking as it includes many trails that don’t show on Google Maps.

📍Duolingo

I would highly recommend learning at least a few basic phrases of Japanese before you visit because many Japanese people don’t speak almost any English. Your Japanese skills will be appreciated and learning Japanese alphabet is also very useful because it will allow you to understand signs, menus, etc. better. Duolingo is a great app for learning the basics in any language.
