Omakase date 🍣 in BKK, Thailand 🇹🇭

During our recent trip to Thailand to celebrate our anniversary, my BF decided to book this OMAKASE meal and this will be a meal I’ll think about for a long long time~ 🍣 😍

🥢 It was a cozy setting with only 10-12 seats in the restaurant. It was a minimalist, Japanese style setting and the Chef loves Doraemon! He has a lot of toys lying around and even placed a toy for us to play around! Despite the little language barrier, the 🧑🏻‍🍳 still made the experience super fun and even made little jokes here and there!

💵 It was also my first Omakase meal and the food really WOW-ed me! We opted for the Hikari Plus (2,450++BAHT) and the bill costed about $120 SGD for this 19 course meal after adding on the drinks + VAT 7% and GST 10%. Their time slots were: 12pm, 5:30pm and 7pm.

(I’m sorry for the lack of terms, I’m definitely not a connoisseur here >)

Some of my highlights were the:

• 𝓒𝓱𝓾𝓽𝓸𝓻𝓸 𝓢𝓶𝓸𝓴𝓮𝓭: It was smoked with Charcoal in front of my eyes 👀! Super cool experience and taste yummy in my mouth~

• 𝓔𝓫𝓲: Ebi was stuffed with rice and the sauce was made with the prawn head~ 🧑🏻‍🍳 saw that I enjoyed it and even gave me more to go with the rice stuffed

• 𝓤𝓷𝓲: MY FIRST TIME TRYING UNI and it was super yummy with a buttery, thick texture which melts in my mouth! 🧑🏻‍🍳 even prepared our 20th course cos we enjoyed it so much with our reactions 🤣

Thoughts 💭:

This meal will definitely be a meal I’ll think of for a LONG long time, and for an anniversary meal, this was a 100/10 experience and my BF definitely got his +++ points! Also, for the price for the 19-course meal, the price is worth every cent as it’ll probably not be this price in Singapore~ I’ll be back when I’m in Thailand for sure!

*With the Bangkok jam, do remember to be there as early as possible and factor in extra time! I was slightly late but the meal still ended in ~1+ hour.
