Things I REGRET bringing to Europe 🥲

It's natural to want to feel super prepared and well-equipped especially for longer trips but here are some things I brought with me to Europe to I regret bringing. Sadly, they just ended up occupying a lot of valuable space and weight in my luggage and I really wish I hadn't brought them!!!

Here's a list of things you might want to reconsider if they're worth taking up precious space in your luggage too:

📚 Thick Book - I really want to be one of those people who read in their downtime but I wasn't true to myself when I packed one. So my mental note is: if I'm not really staying at an all-inclusive resort or having a real vacation with hours and hours of downtime, I would personally skip this next time.

🤳🏼 Large Tripod - I imagined early mornings with crowd-less streets but I really had no opportunity or energy to lug around a huge camera tripod! What was useful though, was a smaller/compact tripod for my iphone which fit right in a tote bag.

⚡️ Curling Iron that I didn't check the voltage of - it does say dual voltage, but a simple plug adapter doesn't do it and seems like an adapter *with* a voltage converter is required. I wish I had checked more carefully!

👜 Heavy handbag - It was nice to have in the first 2 days of the trip, but I should have known myself better than I would have 3 new tote bags by the end of 3 weeks which meant the handbag was never used again... waste of weight!

👗 Dresses I've had for a year but never worn but thought would wear in Europe - I did wear them once but know I never wore them for a reason (comfort mostly). Only bring clothes you're 100% comfortable wearing.
