My personal study routines ๐ค
My exams are weighted 75% with 100+ multiple choice and written answers so you bet Iโm studying for it ๐ฎโ๐จ
๐ Mindmaps: organize information
- EdrawMind (free for 100 topics)
My professor has outlines of the chapters prepared for us, so I recreate them through mindmaps so I can visualize and organize the information easier. I also utilize the โnotesโ option so they function as flashcardsโ I can test myself on the info if I hover over a topic to reveal the notes (the answer).
๐ Quizlet: digest textbook and create study guides
- Quizlet (I use the pro version, students get a discount)
Worksheets are due on the chapters we read so as I go through the textbook, I input the information in the format of a question:answer as I fill out the worksheet. Then once I get the worksheet back, I do the same by putting the questions and answers. There are also mock exams created by students in the past, so I recreate those as well.
๐ Purposegames: labeling game
- Purposegames (free - limit to 5 per day, 25 per month)
- Canva (free - used to edit out words)
So so SO helpful when it comes to memorizing the anatomy part. My professor also has the exact images of what heโll be having us label, so I input those and test myself. I use Canva to edit out the words so itโll be entirely blank.
๐ Whiteboard: information dump
- just your average whiteboard & expo markers
I love my whiteboard. I use different colors whenever I feel myself getting bored to spice things up. When Iโm trying to memorize a diagram or chart, I try to write down what I can remember until I get everything right. It doesnโt even have to be legible to me, as long as I retain the information and know how to properly spell the words that means this method is working.
๐ Apps
- CrashCourse (free - they have premade flashcards w cute graphics and corresponding vids on YouTube. I always listen to their videos in the morning when Iโm getting ready)
- Forest ($1.99 - you plant cute trees to get coins which you use to buy even MORE trees. I have the BTS trees ๐คญ itโs so motivating to see all of my data and how much Iโve studied. It really forces me to study and not go on my phone)
