☁️ nalgenes are forever ☁️

Recently bought my third nalgene bottle, couldn't be happier about it 🫶🏻

The simple, clean look and durable build is timeless, and it continues to do exactly what I need it to do. Hold water.

But it's not really about the bottle itself; rather, it's about what nalgene bottles remind me of: adventure and self-care.

I got my first 1L nalgene bottle because I was going on a trip where I wasn't sure if drinking water was as accessible as it is in Singapore. I loved how light it was, and how it just does its job - cold water, hot water, a lot of water. And no spillage!

Then I got a small 400ml one that fits into almost all my small bags, and i started drinking more water and buying less drinks.

A couple weeks ago, I decided to get two new 1L bottles (one for me, one for my brother). We're retiring our old bottles and repurposing them as cold brew flasks for the fridge 👍🏻

About the cold brew thing: We've been wanting to set up more beverage options at home. Sometimes you just want something cold and sweet to drink, and I'd like to think that I can do a lot better than spending $5-7 on a cup of bubble tea. More on this soon.

The second slide is a photo of my small nalgene bottle beside my best friend's. Neither are in the best condition, but we absolutely love them for the personality they've developed. I've spammed mine with so many stickers, it makes me happy just looking at it!!! aaaaa!!!

The third slide is a photo I found on pinterest, also of nalgene bottles with loads of stickers on them. But beyond that, is a beautiful mountain view.

That's what nalgene bottles remind me of: adventure, exploration, freedom

Having one with me also reminds me to stay hydrated - a cornerstone activity in self-care.

Maybe this post is simply a reminder to myself to fall back in love with the simple things. In a world where we are constantly overwhelmed with choices, the peace in simplicity can be a premium experience.
