You have probably skipped a few warm-ups before to get it going, and get on with your day 🏃🏻♀️
Honestly, me too girl. However, Ive learned from my mistakes and i want you to take this and learn from me!!
I would rush through them & ended up with knee pain & THAT sucked, i lost confidence in my leg days, & lost strength. 📉
It was a huge process & journey to move forward from that. I’m lucky to have had help along the way with awesome PTs & coaches but take it from me, WARM. UP.
It will save you tons of problems + when you’re older and reach an age where its normalized to lose strength, feel weak, & not be able to do things you could when you were younger… that won’t be an issue for you !
Whenever I program for my clients, I ALWAYS add in to be intentional about warm-ups — warm up with some cardio & get some dynamic movement/stretches in.
The preparation for a workout is one of THE most important steps to me… there’s nothing better than feeling READY to lift heavy (&safely )🎯
My lower bod warm up ⤵️
🪩 Body weight squats
🪩 Leg swings
🪩 Hip circles
🪩 Quad stretch
🪩 Standing knee to chest stretch
🪩 Lateral lunge
🪩 Arm circles too!
Remember! Movement is GREAT, but safe & intentional movement is BETTER👏🏼
