Horses are cheaper than therapy

There’s something about the way a horse knows your emotions, can sense your mood, that brings a peacefulness to you. My main coping mechanism growing up and now even as an adult has just been to go ride. I call it my “saddle up and shut up” therapy. You tune out the world, your thoughts and everything else and just GO. You might not get thoughtful advice but sometimes you don’t even need to talk. Just be there, in the moment, in the saddle.
