With over 30 tattoos on my body, it’s hard picking out ones I want to talk about first! I started my ink collection at the age of 18 and I’ve accrued a lot of incredible artwork over the last 5 years. Inspired heavily by the music I listen to, I try to have my tattoos symbolize and encapsulate moments in my life that shaped me into the person that I am today. Here are 4 tattoos that have the most meaning to me.

1. Dagger:

I care deeply and love hard. I wear my heart on my sleeve and even if my intentions are good, it can attract the wrong people sometimes. This tattoo reminds me to be more mindful and intentional with every single person I meet. This tattoo is 1/5 tattoos on my face! You’d be surprised to find out that it does not hurt as bad as you may think! :)

2. Coffin:

A few months after getting my first tattoo, I went ahead and got this beautiful piece done. The lyrics are from a song called Fever Dream by Grayscale. At 18 years old, it was truly sinking in that there is no good to keep someone in your life that isn’t meant to have a place in it anymore. There’s no good in clinging onto the idea of what they could’ve been. At the time, this tattoo meant being hopeful in having a second chance to do things differently. The meaning still holds after all these years but now, I’ve learned to let go.

3. Crystal Ball:

My first ever tattoo! This tattoo session happened right before I had to go walk at my high school graduation. It was only fitting to try to squeeze some time to get a tattoo done right before I was going to embark on my life journey, haha. I’ve always had this wanderlust spirit inside of me, and I always felt like I was destined for continuous growth. Growing up in a small town had the potential to keep me rooted there, especially when all the big dreams I had seemed way too far out of reach. I’ve been sailing and riding the waves towards bigger and better things!

4. Crying face:

I got this tattoo done after my first breakup. I struggled with understanding my emotions and I was scared to be alone. I used to enjoy my solitude and that became the very same thing I was afraid of. It felt like I was rewiring myself and I was gradually starting to learn how to connect with myself again with the help of my support system at the time. I found myself and I came out like a Phoenix rising from the ashes.

If you made it this far, I truly appreciate you taking the time to read the meanings behind some of my tattoos. 🤍 Stay tuned for another tattoo tour!
