Are flowers only for special occasions?

My answer would be no, but I do only end up getting them every so often. I would love to have flowers in my house constantly, but it’s sometimes hard to justify spending money on something that will die a week or so later. I consider getting flowers now to be a special treat I sometimes get myself or get on anniversaries, Valentine’s Day, or my birthday from my husband.
