How to test your skin type 😚🥰

We all know that not everyone can afford to go to derma for skin maintenance and other stuff. That’s why it’s very important that we get to know our skin better. I also believe that the best skincare will be found by our own experiences. ☺️💘

Today, I’m sharing with you guys a self analysis, tutorial on how to test your skin type. You can freely do this at home and you don’t need any equipment to do this test to be able to identify your skin type.

I think this will be very helpful to everyone especially those who badly needed help in formulating their skincare routine. 🥰

Follow these step by step guide:

Step 1:

Wash your face to remove any remaining products that you have in your skin (either skincare products or makeup). This is also to ensure that the face is clean before doing the test. Wait for an hour to see natural reaction of the skin and to be able to observe its condition.

Step 2:

After 1 hour, there should already be reaction to the skin. Start by slightly damp your palm to the face to feel if there’s any oily-ness to the skin. And proceed to also pinch the skin using fingers to see if there’s any tightness or dryness to the skin.

If the skin is not really oily and just a normal skin. It’s actually a good skin condition.

Sharing with you my own skin type result:

Non-oily to normal skin

Observation 1: It has balanced skin moisture

Observation 2: Shows only small to medium pores

Observation 3: Smooth and rosy skin after wash reaction

With this type of skin, a basic skincare would do such as:

1. Cleansing

2. Moisturizing

3. Sun protection

I use mild toner for cleansing, a hydration serum for moisturizing, and sunscreen for sun protection. With these 3 easy steps you would be able to maintain its natural healthy condition.
