The Twilight Saga Movies Ranked!!

(yes they are in order)

despite increasing budget, my rank of the twilight saga films is the same as the order of release!! LETS BE CLEAR… i LOVE all of the movies despite my slander towards the end ahajdhf

1. Twilight (2008): the absolute classic!! I love the notorious cool blue hues and indie-style camera angles. Interactions between bella and her friends, and bella and charlie give a bit of comedic relief due to the believable awkwardness, which compliments the moody romance with edward. I like that the film doesn’t take itself so seriously! the movie definitely has a couple of questionable line choices ("you better hold on tight spider monkey" and "thanks kitty" and "my monkey man"). also the extended cut with the line about chinchilla droppings in the rain stick… anyways. seeing as twilight is one of my favorite movies, i wouldnt change a thing and i love it for all of its little quirks, although I still don’t quite get the scene with the ketchup bottle in the diner(?)

2. New Moon (2009): it follows the same style as twilight as far as mood, though the hue and camera angles are different! You can tell the budget has been increased. I love this story overall and it is a very close second to the first film. Just like the first film, the soundtrack is amazing, and the visuals are really beautiful. the scene where bella is sitting at her window while the seasons are going by is so good

3. Eclipse (2010): This is where the mood of the series starts to take a turn. The visuals and CGI were too much in the fight scenes, and the darkness of the newborn army scenes didn’t mesh well with the rest of the movie. I did enjoy the background on some of the other characters.

4. Breaking Dawn (part 1) (2011): i absolutely loved the beginning of this movie with the wedding and the honeymoon, but the second half was only okay. The comedic relief was taking itself too seriously and didn’t come as natural as it did in the first movie, mainly with jacob’s snarky comments. I didn’t love the storyline of this film. I liked the amount of time that was put into the wedding, but I felt like the honeymoon stretched out so long that the end seemed rushed. Also CGI renesmée… yikes.

5. Breaking Dawn (part 2) (2012): again CGI renesmée… yikes. The beginning of the movie was cheesy when bella was fighting the mountain lion and learning how to be a vampire. The special effects are so bad they are distracting. The saving grace of the movie was the fight scene.
