Super Cute Rental DIY Fireplace

Something about a fireplace always makes a space feel so cozy. Sadly, my apartment does not have one though, but that hasn't kept me from recreating the vibes of one. I scoured my local FB marketplace and found a mantel that was in pretty rough shape and ended up getting it for free.🔥

After reassembling some broken bits, we secured it to the wall with a handful of screws and anchors. So if you are comfortable refilling holes in your wall, this is totally renter friendly! We also added a wood back and bottom panel to make it look more realistic which I then tiled with peel and stick tile. Finally, the whole thing got a fresh coat of paint.

I can't wait to decorate this especially as the holidays are approaching! The worst part about this project is that whenever I move, I will now want to lug this around with me wherever I go. Are you into a faux fireplace? ❤️‍🔥
