Memory Tips for College 💡

Memorizing material in college is so much more than remembering what’s on a piece of paper but rather understanding what you’re learning.

💡I’m a visual person so drawing diagrams or doodles helps me connect and see visually what I’m learning. Diagrams help me connect the dots better and are great for comparison of text as well. When I se information a certain way I typically remember it like that so that’s how I make my connections.

💡Taking notes when I know I understand a concept can be annoying but I never regret it. I always end up referencing my notes later despite how sure I am on the concept. I also keep them very detailed leaving me more likely to remember specific notes I wrote.

💡Studying the same day after learning something new has helped me tremendously. My memory of the topic improves immediately and I am more likely to build on it as time passes because I am memorizing/ learning the concept earlier rather than later.
