HERE ARE THE DIFFERENT TYPES OF SPECIALTY PAINT:

ROMAN CLAY - is an eco-friendly plaster finish ideal for smooth interior walls.

Applied using a putty knife, Roman Clay provides a versatile finish able to achieve a wide range of stone, stucco and marble-like effects, making it a perfect fit in both traditional and contemporary settings.

This decorative gypsum based plaster is made from natural ingredients, is virtually zero VOC, and lends a rustic originality to interior surfaces. Roman Clay is smooth to the touch with a modeling marble-like effect, comparable to Venetian plasters but with a more subtle, organic appeal.

LIME WASH - is a traditional lime-based finish. This natural brush-applied coating dries to create a beautiful weathered patina with subtle movement and natural color variation that softens and streaks with age.

Due to it’s high PH, Lime Wash also acts as a mild fungicide, and is eco-friendly - containing zero VOCs.

This organic and highly breathable finish makes Lime Wash ideal for historic restorations, interior and exterior masonry and drywall applications.

VENETIAN PLASTER - is a wall and ceiling finish consisting of plaster mixed with marble dust, applied with a spatula or trowel in thin, multiple layers, which are then burnished to create a smooth surface with the illusion of depth and texture.

I’ve personally never tried Venetian Plaster but we’ve done lots and lots of Roman Clay and Lime Wash treatments in our own home and in our clients’ homes as seen in all of these photos.
