The summer is the best time to save money because mother-nature sets the scene for a TON of great, FREE, activities. These are my top 5 budget-friendly summer activities:
1. Free Workout Classes
Join free workout classes in your local area, such as yoga in the park or outdoor boot camps. These classes are a fantastic way to stay fit, meet new people, and enjoy the summer weather without spending a dime. These pictures were taken at a free pilates class on the water front in Tampa this last week. Especially if you live in or near a bigger city, look into free workout classes near you, I promise it's a total blast!
2. Beach Day
You guys probably saw this one coming, ha! I'm the biggest fan of a beach day for sun, relaxation and friend time. I bring my own food and drinks to save money, and please don't forget the sunscreen!
3. Hiking Adventure
Explore local trails and enjoy the beauty of nature. Hiking is a fantastic way to get some exercise and enjoy breathtaking views, all for free. It's a bit hot to hike here in Florida, but this was how I spent every summer before moving here, and I plan to do lots more when I visit Oregon.
4. Community Events
Check out free events in your area like outdoor concerts, farmers' markets, or festivals. These events are often family-friendly and a great way to enjoy the summer without spending a lot.
5. Walk with Friends
Organize regular walks with friends around your neighborhood or local parks. It's a great way to catch up, get some light exercise, and enjoy the fresh air.
