Man, did my first job teach me a lot. Both good and bad!

When you’re first entering the corporate world, you realize that a lot of the things you think were going to work out a certain way, just don’t. Most people don’t want to be friends at work. Corporate lingo will make you feel like you’re putting on a persona. It’s a culture shock to say the least!

But pay attention, in any job, to your gut feelings and reactions. If you’re feeling overwhelmed by certain variables like a micromanaging boss or the long commute, listen to it.

Even if there isn’t anything you can do about it at this very moment, it’ll help you put together a list of your likes and dislikes when it comes to a job or work environment. Then, when you’re looking for your next role, you can find which companies check your boxes. ☺️
