Honestly, in my experience I really like it, but I definitely had things to get used to. For context, I’ve been working for 2 tech startups in part time capacities for the past 5-6 months.

Not only is the experience scrappy, casual, risky and involved, but you have very little oversight, tend to have more flexible hours, get to problem solve outside of your job description to learn new skills, and so much more.

Plus, if you have equity or are promised some, you have a personal stake in the business and thus are more motivated to get your work done and do it well so the business can grow.

I love working for startups, and would definitely recommend them to someone who wants to get lots of experience and learn leadership skills quickly. 😇
