LINKEDIN NETWORKING 101

In a digital world where it can be difficult to meet new people IRL, I highly suggest using LinkedIn to network! It’s actually a lot easier than you think.

I learned these networking tips while attending UC Berkeley’s Haas School of Business, and having tried them myself I can contest that they are extremely effective – more people should be utilizing these!

Remember: If you’re nervous to cold network with strangers on the internet, just know that the worst that could happen is that they ghost you or let you know they aren’t interested in connecting for whatever reason.

Most of the time, people are actually extremely welcoming to new connections, especially if you are on the younger side and are genuinely curious about their life and career, just trying to soak in as much information as possible to help guide you on your own early career journey!
