When’s the last time you made a mistake that caused you to worry about how other people’s perception of you might change? What is your relationship with making mistakes/failing? What mistakes do you keep punishing yourself or others for?

I made a mistake at work a couple weeks ago- overall, it was small, but big enough to kinda scare me into wondering if my co-workers were mad or doubted me now. After worrying about it for a day or two, I realized…. mistakes are made every day, and the Sun comes up every day. We move forward.

Once you take accountability, apologize for your mistake and know that you’ll try your best to never repeat it, there is nothing to overthink anymore. If people truly doubt your character or capabilities after you take responsibility for your mistake and show improvement, it’s on them 🤷🏻‍♀️

It’s also so important to forgive YOURSELF for mistakes you’ve made. We all do what we think is right in the moment, and sometimes, we turn out to be wrong! It’s inevitable and human. Without mistakes, life would be meaningless. There’d be no learning, reflection, or redemption.
