I didn’t think all those years ago that I would’ve achieved the body for myself that I have today. I thought I didn’t have the motivation, discipline, drive, energy or even time (I was working 60+ hrs a week at a job I hated and drained me) and I still made it happen so if I can do it, SO CAN YOU.

Here are some key things to remember and focus on that allowed me to make the progress I did.

#1 : CHANGED MY MINDSET ABOUT FOOD.

This is huge.

Food is FUEL and shouldn’t be avoided.

Whether your goal is fat loss, weight loss, weight gain or muscle growth, you need food to fuel your body.

I didn’t realize I was only eating 1200-1500 calories a day for yeaaars and once I started eating more Whole Foods, increased my protein and overall caloric intake is when I saw my body start to shed the fat and gain muscle.

Start by just increasing your overall protein and aim for 25-35g per meal (3 meals) and eat 1-2 high protein snacks in between.

#2 : LIFT HEAVY (Turns out you wont get bulky;))

You need to challenge yourself so that will mean lifting more as you get stronger in the gym.

It takes YEARS to gain muscle and to get bulky like the women they’re referring to you’ll have to take special supplements, be on a super strict workout regime and nutritional plan (aka its almost impossible to do it on accident).

#3 : ACCEPT ITS GOING TO TAKE A WHILE.

You have to start treating it as a whole new lifestyle change, it’s not temporary “until you reach your goals”. So start changing your daily habits, do less of the stuff that doesn’t benefit you and more of the stuff that does. Start swapping unhealthy habits with good ones, drink less, walk more and pay attention to things that make you FEEL good.

You CAN do this. Just one decision at a time 💕
