How to create an Asian Barbie look

We are back with another Barbie inspired outfit💗🎀🌸. Today, I’m creating an Asian Barbie outfit! I’m so excited about this look because, as we all know, Barbie is widely known as American doll character that have very western fashion sense and perfect blonde hair with blue eyes; Well, I always wonder what Malaysian Barbie or Asian Barbie would dress up🤔 Therefore, I try to make a whole new outfit that specialises or represents an Asian outfit.

Here’s the tips on how to dress up like a asian barbie🧚🏻‍♀️

🎀 Wear asian traditional clothes; I’m wearing the Malay’s kebaya + baju kurung in modern design.

🎀 includes Asian accessories to spice up the look. For me, I use Chinese or Peranakan traditional payung that are very popular in Melaka called "Payung Baba Nyonya" to match the outfit.

🎀 Shoot at pastel background to look like a real-life Barbie in a real-life world. Riviera suites full of pastel colourful building located in Melaka. We all know from the photos that Melaka is a popular destination for historical sites.

🎀 As for the colours of the outfit; I recommend to maintain pink as the highlight of the look but you can simply add other colour it that represents asian iconic colour chosen; Such as Chinese people can wear red colour accessories!

The key of the look is to appreciate your asian culture and fashion. So in order to recreate this look, its a must to include all the tips! 🫶🏻
