Hi besties, I’m back after sooo long. I hope you’re doing fine and staying safe. Today, I would like to give tips on what to wear on your best friend’s henna night! This post is dedicated to all skinny girls that struggle to find the perfect attire. Yup, I got you girls since I also face the same issue.

One of my classmates from high school just got married. So, I thought, why not; share something with you? For my friend’s henna night, she asked us to wear something flowy with bold colours. I decided to wear the abaya in maroon colour. Honestly, I’m not very confident about wearing it because my body is petite, according to my friends. My waist is only 24 inches, but my height is around 165cm. I’m underweight, and my body is not stable, I’d say. So, if I were to wear an abaya, it would look a tad bit funny because its material is usually heavy, and the sizing is always ‘free size’. I find it challenging to fit in some abayas, and I always look extra skinny whenever I wear them.

But you know what? We make it work hehe. I bought this abaya from a local brand called Hijabistahub. I chose this design since I can wrap the inner abaya around my waist, so it won’t look as big. But don’t wrap it too tight. Tips: try to avoid oversized clothes. You can opt for one size bigger; this can help you not look funny. This abaya came with a matching shawl, so I wrapped the shawl around my neck neatly. Not to forget to put on some makeup with a minimal look. It would enhance your whole outfit.

I know it’s hard for us skinny body size to find the perfect outfit/attire. I struggle a lot because, at times, I feel pretty in some clothes, but other people would laugh at it because I look funny to them. People sometimes call me ‘flat girl’ or ‘tiang’ just because I’m skinny and tall. It took me a long time to accept it. But now, I don’t mind what other people say about my body size. I’ll focus on myself. If I feel pretty wearing a bodycon dress, I will wear it.

People always have something to say about you. Instead of you focusing on them, why don’t you channel it to yourself? Focus on what makes you happy and cut the negative thinking. I hope this post helps you in any way. Till the next post, bubyeee 🫶🏻🦋
